Introducing Our NEW Executive Vice President: Curtis Beesley
We’re excited to announce Curtis Beelsey as the new Executive Vice President for the Academy. Curtis joins us with great experience and zeal for our mission. With a vast executive and sales management background in the private and nonprofit sector, Curtis brings extensive knowledge and a personal touch to furthering our work. Curtis has already jumped feet first in connecting and inviting others to join the Academy. Of this Curtis shared, “The Academy’s mission resonates with my desire to lift others to sustainable self-reliance and I’m grateful for the privilege to join this incredible team!”
Curtis joins the Academy after a remarkable era as President of Mentors International. Here, Curtis will apply his experience of providing leadership and vision to a proven model to strengthen the messaging and support for the Academy. Curtis’ role will include revenue generation, donor relations and marketing which will allow Executive Director Robert Heyn to focus on growth and expansion in the field. In short, their efforts will be “hand in glove.” Curtis served his mission in Monterrey Mexico, so his ability to communicate in Spanish will also be a help to field operations. Born in Salt Lake City and raised in Southern California, Curtis currently resides in Davis County and enjoys outdoor sports and quality time with his wife Stephanie and their family.
